JOURNEY SWEATER KNITTING PATTERN

Knitting pattern and yarn for a beginner friendly kids sweater. Pretty sweater in hand dyed yarn, “BonBon”. It is knitted top down – so easy to adjust length in body and arms for the perfect fit. First you knit the back- and frontside separate, back and forth,  to make the arm opening.  You then put the pieces together and knit in the round. Arms are knitted top down.

Simple and pretty design – perfect for a yarn with lots of personality.

On pictures is size  4-5 years on girl 3,5 years in color  «Take a Chance on Me»,  white in color  «Imagine all the People» Bon Bon yarn.

SIZE AND MEASUREMENTS

Size 1-2 (2-3) 4-5 (6-7) 8-9 (10-12) 12-14 years

Length:  38 (42) 45 (48,5) 52 (55) 58 cm

Width: 70 (77) 84 (89) 91 (94) 96 cm

Arm: 32 (34) 37,5 (40) 42 (45) cm

Positive ease  +10 cm.  Measure around kids tummy / chest and choose a size 5-10 cm from the kids measures.

BONBON YARN 

3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (5) 5 balls color of your choice

KNITTING GAUGE 17 (-18) st x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needlesize 4 mm

Level:  Intermediate

Circular 3 mm and 4 mm, 40 and 80 cm,  DPN 3 mm for ribb arms and neck if you dint use  magic loop metoden.
