BONBON JACKET KNITTING PATTERN

Knitting pattern womens jacket. Knitted jacket with oversized fit, V-neck and wide arms. Knitted top down- back and forth. Arms knitted top down. A-shape, meaning it has more width around stomach (and hips/ tighs in long version) than on top.

For a great fit and shape there are short rows in neck, arms and body. Choose between long and short version, with or without pockets. Pattern includes instructions for zipper, placket or without (as in long pink on pictures).

On pictures  «Imagine all the people» in size  L,  beige short color  «Stand by Me» , long pink in  «(I wanna) Dance with somebody» size  L. XS/S  short pink  «I´m (no) Barbie girl».

Techniques used are german short rows, left- and right increases, mattress stitches for pockets. Cast off in rib  (or italian cast of). Jacket is knitted back and forth, arms in the round.

Length short: 46 (48) 51 (53) 55 cm

Length long: 97 (100) 102 (104) 105 cm

Arms:  52 (52) 52 (52) 52 cm

Fit is made to be wide,  + 10-20 cm (positive ease)  more than your with around chest or waist . Choose a smaller size if you prefer a tighter fit.

Placket instead of buttons? You need 1 ball extra

KNITTING GAUGE  16 st x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needlesize 5 mm.

Level:  Intermediate

Needlesize 5 mm, 40 and 100 cm (for arm and body) , DPN  5 mm for rib arms or use a circular if knitting the magic loop method.  Needlesize 4 mm for cast-on stitches in the neck (DPN or circular).
