FISHY Kids sweater KNITTING PATTERN AND YARN
Knitting kit with yarn and free digital knitting pattern for a children's sweater with fish.
Rainbow Fish Sweater! A new addition to our Fishy series. The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. At the armhole, the work is divided into the front and back pieces, which are knitted separately and then sewn or knitted together over the shoulders. The sleeves are knitted from the top down by picking up stitches around the armhole.
The pattern can easily be knitted with a main color and a color for the fish, just like the other Fishy sweaters.
The Fishy sweater is available for children, women, and men. Feel free to play with the pattern by knitting parts of the chart in a different color or «the wrong way – against the current.» The sweater is also nice in a solid color, with one fish placed on the chest (embroidered with a chain stitch at the end), or with different colors on the fish (for example, one row in each color).
FIT
Movement ease (positive ease) is approximately + 10-15 cm from chest/upper body measurement for a loose fit. If the child measures, for example, 50 cm around the chest, size 3-4 years will fit best (15 cm movement ease). Choose size based on upper body measurement and adjust sleeve and body length to fit the child. It's a good idea to measure the upper body of a sweater the child already has and likes. Choose the size that is most similar to its upper body measurement. Note – accurate measurements assume that the stitch gauge is followed.
