Where are the orders shipped from?
HipKnitShop is a small business located in Bodø, northern Norway. Here we package and ship yarn, accessories and knitting kits to all over the world.

How long is the delivery time for my order?
We pack and ship orders every day and process orders within 1-4 days. For international orders, delivery times vary from 3-30 days. The goods can also be shipped with DHL express. See more information at checkout. During periods of high demand, both with us and with the shipping company, which can result in extra long delivery times.

I have placed multiple orders, can they be shipped together?
We pack and ship orders every day. Each order is unique and processed separately. Even if the orders are placed right after each other, we will not always be able to see that the same person has ordered multiple times and that there are several people packing the orders. If we see this and have the opportunity, we may be able to ship them together.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us at Hello@hipknitshop.com. Orders are packed all the time and we cannot promise that we will have time to make changes, even if you contact us. After you have ordered, it is unfortunately not possible in most cases to change or cancel your order.

I have received the wrong item, what should I do?
If you have received the wrong item or are experiencing any defects with the item, please contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will sort it out together!

I did not receive an order confirmation.
After the order is completed, an email will be sent to the email address provided. Check your spam folder to see if it has accidentally ended up in the wrong email folder or search for "HipKnitShop" in the search field of your email. If you can't find the email, contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you.

I ordered a PDF / digital knitting pattern. Where can I find this?
PDF knitting patterns will automatically arrive at the email address you provided. If you can't find it in your inbox, search the search field in your email for "HipKnitShop", and it will probably appear! If the email address in the order is incorrect, the knitting pattern will not appear either. The pattern can also be downloaded on "My Page".Can't find it? I need help understanding the recipe.
step forward – you often find the answers to what you are looking for in the pattern. In addition, something may look difficult - start, follow the pattern step by step - often it works out.
Check out our knitting videos here for help with patterns: Knitting videos and on YouTube. If there are unfamiliar techniques, feel free to search for the name of the technique in the Google search field or on YouTube and good help videos will come up.

I need more yarn to finish my knitting project.
Have you ordered a knitting kit but not received enough yarn?
If you have deviated / made adjustments from the pattern (for example, not following measurements or knitting tension) and need more yarn, or if you have knitted the sweater in a larger size, you can reorder yarn here:Yarn
It is very important that the knitting tension is maintained so that the amount of yarn is enough (very important) and all measurements. Do you feel that you have the right knitting tension (measured?) but still too little yarn – contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you

Do I have to pay customs/VAT on my package?
Packages are shipped at no extra cost in Norway.
This may vary abroad - please contact your local customs office for questions about the rules and regulations that apply there.
We would like to send the yarn without taxes, but this is unfortunately beyond our control. When you order to an address abroad, the prices are shown without Norwegian VAT – therefore 25% cheaper. Taxes/VAT will be added in your own country according to the current rates. We are working on being able to offer ready-to-trade yarn and knitting kits.
HipKnitShop does not pay for uncollected packages, fees may apply. If it is stopped at customs, pick up the package and return it if you do not want the goods.

Do you sell ready-made sweaters?
Unfortunately not at the moment.

I want other color combinations in my knitting kit.
Contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you with color combinations so that you can place a manual order. Often, yarn is ordered separately and we can send a digital pattern by email.

I want to return the item, what do I do?
PRESS HEREto read more about returns and exchanges of goods. We do not exchange yarn. If you return yarn, it will be refunded and a new order must be placed.

The yarn / product I want is out of stock - will it be back in stock?
Most products that are sold out are coming back in. Sometimes it takes a little extra time. Please contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you get a more specific answer about the individual products.
Put yourself on the waiting list (click on the product and enter your email address) so that you are notified when the product is back in stock.

What does a knitting kit contain?
contains enough yarn for the chosen size and a free digital knitting pattern. You can choose a printed pattern when ordering. Most knitting kits also contain a cool label / tag to sew on the garment
Clothing, cases and other accessories must be ordered separately unless otherwise stated.

Can I pick up my order at Studio HipKnitShop?
Yes, you can. If you enter a zip code in Bodø and the surrounding area, the option "pick up yourself" will appear at checkout. You will receive an email from us when the package is ready and can be picked up.

When is HipKnitShop open?
We are not a store with regular opening hours. In the Studio we work, have creative fun and a showroom. We operate an online store here and we send knitting packages with yarn and patterns to the whole world every day. Due to the varied days, we cannot have fixed opening hours. Often we can be on the go, have a home office or something else. We are mostly in the studio every day and try to be open on Thursdays 12-18.
If we are traveling or otherwise, we may also be closed on Thursdays - send an email if you are coming from afar and want to make sure. Our email address is hello@hipknitshop.com

Yes! On the yarn product pages we have a feature where you can sign up to be notified as soon as the item you are looking for is available again.
To register, go to the desired product and enter your email address in the field provided. We will then send you an email as soon as the item is back in stock.
